Donations

Why Donate to the Richwood Pantry?  Because every contribution helps…

Donations are the life blood of the Richwood Pantry.  Without the help of donations from individuals, churches and local businesses, many families (with children) in eastern Nicholas County would be without the essentials.

Typical donations are:

  • Clothes:  thanks to the many clothing contributions made by individuals and local retailers, the Pantry has a clothing store for both children (the Baby Pantry) and adults
  • Food items: we receive generous contributions from the U.S.D.A., local retailers, churches and individuals.  As a result, we are able to distribute approximately 400 bags of food each month to more than 100 families in eastern Nicholas County.
  • Emergency supplies: when families are disrupted by natural disasters and the  destruction of property, these families receive assistance in the form of cleaning supplies, clothing, food, etc.
  • Money: every little bit helps.  All monetary donations are used to help families in eastern Nicholas County.  The day-to-day staff is made up primarily of volunteers.  Paid staff are provided by AmeriCorps and/or VISTA.  We also receive donations from the United Way.

Many families in eastern Nicholas County need your help!
